Why LEDS?

Why use LEDs? How exactly are they better then other lighting solutions ?


-Energy efficiency : LEDs are 10 to 50 times more energy-efficient, thus reducing operating costs by up to 90%.

-Life time : LEDs last an average of 100,000 hours - or about ten years of nonstop use . Compared to this an incandescent lightbulb lasts only 1000 hours and a neon less then 10.000 hours .

-Safety , maintenance and resistence : Leds don't have a filament or moving parts . They can withstand shocks, vibrations, frequent switching and temperature extremes that would rapidly incapacitate fragile incandescent lamps. Plus , LEDs don't get hot .

-Perfect colors : LEDs produce sharp, vibrant colors ... even pure white . Their light has a fixed wavelengh and don't need filters to produce colors. Put in clusters , LEDs can generate bilions shades of color !

-Low voltage : LEDs don't need more then 4 V to function .

-Response time : LEDs have responese time 100 to 1,000 faster than incandescents so there’s no flicker — just pure dramatic light. Perfect for applications where a fraction of a second can make a big difference !

-Size : LEDs are extremly compact making them the only choice in some applications .
